The lodge was officially opened in 2012 and known to offer high quality accommodation to all first time climbers and seasoned mountaineers.

Equator Snow Lodge has 4 luxurious rooms, consisting of 2 single beds and double bed. This is the most luxurious lodge accommodation in the Rwenzori Mountains.

It is built parallel to the Mubuku River and surrounded by the exceptional eco-system that the Rwenzori Mountains are famous for.

Equator Snow Lodge comprises of almost four adorable cabins consisting of both single beds and double beds with nice beddings these cabins feature an indoor fire place which can be lit up often in the evening hours purposely to provide warmth to guests. The cabins also consist of nice-looking bathrooms with hot showers.

How to reach Snow Equator Lodge

One to reach this stunning accommodation can make use of both road and air transport networks.

By use of Air

Guests can use daily scheduled and chartered flights departing from Entebbe International Airport direct to Kisoro Airstrip then followed by almost 1.5-hour scenic drive to the lodge. Uniquely this lodge offers air strip pickup services at relatively affordable price.

By use of Road

The travel time taken is approximately six to seven hours from Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. There are two routes from Kampala via Mubende to Fort Portal which is 300 kilometers. Then proceed with the journey to the lodge.
Alternatively one can pass through Kampala via Masaka – Mbarara Bushenyi to Kasese which is about 350 kilometer. This route can take roughly 6-7 hours.
